Version: 5.4	Upload Date: 2013-11-18 Release Date:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMPORTANT: This version of Field Status will work ONLY for maps converted to FS2013. It has been tested on Patch Level 1.4 and Patch Level 2.0 (2.0.0.9 RC6), but only requires Patch Level 1.4 to work.

IMPORTANT: Because of the field data change mentioned below, it's probably a good idea to reload the Field Defs
for all of your savegames. When Field Status is active, just press '['. It will re-calculate everything and
re-scan the fields. It's also probably a good idea to do this whenever a new version of Field Status is
released, just in case changes were made to the calculations.

Minor changes to field data: Go back to using the field definition data to calculate the area.

Added new bale types for 'barley' and 'wheat' which are found in the MoreRealistic mod.

Fixed problem with mapname not being found for the map contained in the Titanium DLC pack.
The program should now be able to find any mapname, whether the default Giants map, a mod map, or any DLC map.

Added an optional 'altPDAPath' tag to the fieldData.xml file so the user can specify the location of the PDA
overlay image used in Field Status. For an explanation of how to use this, see the README file.

Mouse cursor is now enabled whenever Field Status HUD is displayed. There is still a slight conflict with the Courseplay mod; you may have to right-click to show the cursor again when Courseplay turns it off.

Version: 5.1	Upload Date: 2013-08-28 Release Date: 2013-08-29
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMPORTANT: This version of Field Status will work ONLY for maps converted to FS2013. It has been tested on Patch Level 1.4 and Patch Level 2.0 Public Beta 3, but only requires Patch Level 1.4 to work.

IMPORTANT: Field Status may not provide accurate results for some maps. This mod references the field coordinates as defined by the map's creator. For all maps I tested with, I verified whether the field definitions were set up correctly. By "set up correctly," I mean the field definitions representing the actual size of the field as seen on the map in-game. Unfortunately, I found a few maps which did not have their fields set up correctly. After many long debates with myself, I decided not to monkey with the coordinates, as it would be too much work to initiate (and to maintain) if I did. I will leave it to the map creators to fix any fields that are not defined correctly.

Version 4.1 was very short-lived, but check below for the features introduced in that version. All of them are carried forward into v5.1, and I have enhanced and/or improved them.

Input changes (yes, again!): The Input interface has been changed considerably in this version. Some key bindings still exist, but the ones most commonly used have been replaced by mouse functions (clickable icons on each of the HUDs). All of the input functions are shown on the Help Menu (click the "?" icon on the main HUD).

NOTE: When Field Status is active, you can show/hide the mouse cursor by clicking the RMB.

*** It is recommended that you delete your inputBinding.xml file before installing this version of Field
*** Status. Due to the number of changes in key bindings, there may be some conflict with previous
*** settings. The game will re-create the file the next time you save the key bindings.
*** NOTE: If you already have custom key bindings, you should save them somewhere before deleting,
*** and then put them back in inputBinding.xml once the game re-creates it.

Bale Scans: During MP games, the bales can now be seen by both host and clients. There is a new config screen that allows setting several options to control how often the bale data is sent to the players (see the README file for details). This config screen is only accessible by the host during an MP game. There will be a little lag when the bales are scanned and sent, so just be aware of this during your MP games. Also, fixed the bale scans to find any type of bale (straw, hay, silage, grass, drygrass) and any shape (square, round).

Scanning: The scanning process was improved to provide the most accurate results based on the map's Field Definition data. The scanning speed has also been improved, so there should be less lag in the game than ever before. How much lag there is will depend on your system. On mine, the default map takes just over 2 seconds to scan all fields. There is a message that displays "Scanning field 'X' of 'Y'" so you'll know how far along it is.

AutoScan: Scan frequency can now be set anywhere from 1 minute to 6 hours. You can toggle AutoScan on/off by clicking on the words "On" or "Off" on the main Field Status HUD. This will just set the status within the current game. You will still need to save the config file before exiting the game, if you want to maintain this status for the next startup.

Config: Added "Default Scan" and "Default Display" to the config menu. For details, see the README file.

New Scan Type: "Custom." This scan type basically replaces the "Partial" scan type from previous versions. When selected on the Config Menu, an icon will show up allowing you to create/edit the field list to be used for the Custom scan. You can set up separate lists for AutoScan, Default Scan, and Default Display, and each map can have its own custom field list for each of these. All custom field lists will be saved in the config file.

New Scan subtype: "Fruit." For each scan type (all fields, owned, unowned, or custom), you can also specify to scan for just a particular fruit. Scan types, custom field lists, and fruit scans are all set up on the Config Menu.

Field information can now be shown in percentages or area (acres/hectares). Default key: NUMPAD /

Version: 4.1	Upload Date: 2013-06-22 Release Date: 2013-06-24
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This version will work ONLY for maps converted to FS2013. The program uses Giants' new Field Definition feature, and depends on this data being accurate.

NEW AutoScan feature: When FS and AutoScan are active, it will automatically scan the fields at a set interval (anywhere from 1 minute to 2 hours; default is 5 minutes). You can turn AutoScan on/off, change the interval, and change the type of scan (All, Owned, or Unowned fields).

HUD position can now be changed to your liking. There are two default positions, plus you can create one custom position (and change it as often as you like). Also, the HUD appearance and size was changed a little, and you can adjust the transparency of the entire HUD (along with submenu and overlay map).

Config file: You can save the AutoScan configuration and the custom HUD position in a new config file, located in the main game directory (where the log, mods, and savegames are stored).

Field scans will now search for bales, and display their type and number.

Key assignments changed slightly to help avoid conflicts with other mods.

Fixed a bug with the display of key assignments if they are changed from the default (Thanks, Decker_MMIV).

Fixed modDesc.xml so that FS icon shows up (Thanks again to Decker_MMIV).

Fixed display of long map names.

Version: 3.0	Release Date: 2011-10-06
----------------------------------------

Added data for 19 maps (total = 50).

Map creators can now choose to have their maps "Field Status Ready" when they are released (see support topic for more information).

Users can now toggle on/off a field number overlay map when Field Status is active.

Help information is on a separate HUD display that can be toggled on/off when Field Status is active.

Field coordinate process: Improved accuracy -- most fields should be a little less "empty" now.
NOTE: Field coordinates for all maps have been re-calculated.

XML file processing: Added optional tags: "alias", "alt_pda", "alt_overlay".

Changed sequence of init routines. Under certain conditions, some data was not getting initialized.

Fixed a bug that caused Field Status to stop working if there is only one screen of data to display.

Version: 2.0	Release Date: 2011-09-06
----------------------------------------

Added data for 26 maps (total = 31).

Major update to process for getting field coordinates. *Almost* totally automated now.

Updated processing of XML files (can handle maps with different names but same layout, and also maps with the same name, but different layouts).

XML Files are now in a separate mod: fieldStatus_XMLFiles, but the mod will be included with each
new release of Field Status.

New HUD (thanks, grimber!), and added some info to the display. Also, the HUD can be moved to two different positions on the screen.

Key mapping is different. Using inputBindings now, so keys can be changed by the user.

The usual miscellaneous little changes.

Version: 1.0	Release Date: 2011-07-24
----------------------------------------

Initial release. Includes field data for 5 maps.
